Church was eventful. Jack shared a scripture in Primary closing exercises (Mosiah 5:7), and Roger and I got new callings (jobs). We are on the family preparedness committee and our job is to help everyone build their food storage--getting the word out on good sales on good food storage items, helping some of the elderly get food, etc. Food storage is not one of our strong points, though we do have some and try to pick up extra things every time we shop. And comparison shopping is not one of our strong points. So we've got a lot to learn. That might actually turn into a strength for a job like this. We totally understand the people who haven't really got a grip on the whole idea. Actually, I'm excited to be doing something real and concrete to help my neighbors.

Hi-
I came across your blog when I was googling food storage.
That's exciting that you have those callings. Food storage can be so much fun! It used to really overwhelm me and I didn't know where to start, but now it's a big "hobby" of mine.
Anyway, if you want any food storage ideas or tips, feel free to check out our blog. We have lots of recipes too that use only food storage (non-perishable) foods.
Additionally, we have free printables available for people who want to print out handouts or other information to give out to others. It's called "Food Storage 101", and it's the handouts we gave to a food storage class that we taught in our ward. We thought that others may want to use them, so we made them available for anyone to use.
Anyway, good luck with your calling. If you ever have any questions about anything, please feel free to ask us!
