Jack's last day of freedom before school starts and I dragged him on errands. We stopped by the high school to check with Lanell, the library I'll be working for. We stopped by the art museum to get a signature on a form and fax it to a wholesaler I'm setting up an account with. We stopped by the post office to mail some book orders. We stopped by Jack's school for the open house to meet all his teachers. Jack's just going to love fourth grade--he'll get to turn in all of his writing assignments in cursive. He had a friend over in the afternoon while I cleaned up my office, trying to get a grip on my growing to do list. One minute I'm feeling fairly on top of things, and the next minute I'm totally overwhelmed. When Roger got home from work he took Jack to the new Star Wars Clone Wars movie while I went for a hike up the canyon (it was hot!). We tried to wind things (read: Jack) down and get lights out at a reasonable hour, but didn't have a lot of success.
