The big change for the new year: church is at 9:00 instead of 11:00. So we got up when the alarm went off. I feel a bit sad that vacation is now over and we have to set an alarm every night (except for Friday!). But earlier church means longer afternoon and therefore a better chance that I'll get a Sunday afternoon nap. Surprisingly I never felt the urge! I just spent the day puttering. Started to get ornaments off the Christmas tree with Jack's help, etc. Our house is wildly out of control after Christmas, after months of me being sick and only taking care of the bare minimum and after weeks of Jack being on vacation. Little by little I'm going to get it put back together. Jack and I are reading The Prophet of Yonwood, the prequel to The City of Ember (which we've already read).
