An utterly out-of-the-rut day. Jack and I got up early and went down to the art museum to set up a museum store annex as part of the Art City Days children's art festival. We hauled books, SMA t-shirts and hats, and other items outdoors and set up shop under a canopy. Our friend Shelley, who worked at our bookstore for many years, came and helped us all day. We didn't sell much (visibility was the main goal), but we had perfect weather and we had fun watching hundreds and hundreds of kids visit dozens of arts and crafts booths all around us. Jack ran off to explore the festival with several different friends from school, and we visited with friends who dropped by our booth. All in all, a very satisfying way to spend our time.
