Jack woke up on the wrong side of the bed (I think he's had a bit too much of a good thing playing with friends nearly every waking hour). So instead of letting him play with friends, I decided he needed some good one-on-one time with mom, so I dragged him on errands. Costco, OfficeMax and a local furniture store to talk to the manager about helping out with a reading area for the art exhibit. By the time we were done, Jack's mood had improved dramatically. Rex came over, and we went to the reservoir for the afternoon. Lots of hot sun and cold water. I went to half an hour of an emergency choir practice (we're singing Sunday), then headed to book club (I Capture the Castle by Dodie Smith). We watched the movie and talked until midnight! Oh, and the high school principal called. I got the library job!
